Mission:
Our Mission is to serve the students at Kean University. We New Legacy represents and safeguard the interest of students. We exist not only as individuals, but also as a community. In order to improve the welfare of students, we encourage cooperation and communication from faculty to Administration to ensure the optimum of students rights, and to provide the best possible excellence in education we do establish “New Legacy”.
Purpose:
To ensure the greatest participation by students in the immediate governance of and policy development for Kean University at all levels.
● To organize events for students.
● To receive complaints from students, investigate the problems of students and participate in policy making decisions concerning students.
● To take action on behalf of the student body in general, and to specifically work for:
1. The expansion of student power in all aspects of student and university governance.
2. The recognition of access to education as a basic human right.
3. The enforcement of civil rights guarantees in all aspects of university life and policy.
4. The protection of public education.
5. The protection of full student autonomy over student life, services, and interests.
